    Speed Control:

This is a Transistorised DC system. As the trigger is pulled, the DC voltage to the car progressively rises to increase the speed of the motor.

When wired up correctly the BP II has power LED's to show that it is on.
For Positively wired tracks the BLUE LED will illuminate.
For Negatively wired tracks the RED LED will illuminate.

    Brake control:
This is a Transistorised DC braking system. A single rotary control sets the braking strength and has a built-in hold circuit to release the brakes once the car has slowed to a speed relative to the amount of brake you have selected. The useful feature of this design is that motor drives the brake circuit in such a way that the faster the car is going, the harder the brakes are applied. As the car slows, the brakes are gradually released to give very balanced and predictable control. The brake and hold remain balanced to leave you free to race confidently.

    Sensitivity control:

This adjusts the trigger wiper sensitivity to enable you to set the controller feel for any car or track condition.

The small, square blue pre-set potentiometer, on the board at the end of the trigger contact segments, allows adjustment of the sensitivity range. Turn anticlockwise to decrease sensitivity.

    Adjustable Spring Tension:

Easy adjustment with a cross head screwdriver to set the spring tension. You will see the little tensioner cam moving to pre-tension the spring.

Trigger single and double finger sections:

The controller is supplied with the single finger section fitted and the double finger option in a little packet to fit as required. To see the details click here.

    Maintenance:

    • Once you feel a scratchy movement of the wiper fingers over the contacts, or can hear squeaking then it is advisable to clean them. Apply a small amount of switch cleaner/lubricant, lighter fluid, or something similar, onto a cotton bud and, through the air flow slots in the casing, gently wipe over the contacts on the board.
    • Be sure not to bend the cable at the exit of the handle. The wiring will break from metal fatigue after a while and cause intermittent operation. Wind the cable into a gentle coil as shown in the images and it will last.

Best Value for money HO Scale Controller

I purchased one through Show Us Ya Slotz in Australia following some good word-of-mouth reviews within our social HO scale racing community. This is the best value for money, HO Scale suitable controller on the market imo. I have since gone on to refer several customers to purchase this product from SUYS.

    HI Rick.
Thanks for taking the time to write your review from all the way over in Australia.
Mike from Show Us Ya Slotz will be pleased to see it too, so I'll pass it on to him.

    Regards,
    Steve

    Excellent value and quality controller.

I purchased this to have a second transistorized controller for my track. In comparison to the stock or Professor Motor resistor controllers, this is at a completely different level and cost about the same price as the PM controllers in Canada. I wish I had purchased one of these earlier and saved myself a lot of money over my other controller. I highly recommend these for a completely different level of racing and enjoyment. The quality is also top notch. I make electronic components regularly, and the quality of this controller is obvious in its feel and performance.

    Hi Byron.
Thanks very much for taking the time write your review.
I am so glad that the BP II is working well for you.

    Regards,
    Steve

I ordered a couple of the BPII analog controllers just to see if they would stand up to all the hype before I packed up my old Artin/ASR set and upgrade to Digital. I received them today less than 2 weeks after ordered. WOW!! what a difference from any stock controller that comes with the analog sets. Very smooth operation. My track has a new life and I will keep it for the kids when I upgrade to the digital set and I know my first upgrade will be the Truspeed digital controller. Thankyou Steve

    Hi Bernie.
I'm so glad that you are enjoying your new controllers.
    Thanks for sharing your review.

    Steve
